Student Spotlight: Ryan Lehmkuhl

Ryan Lehmkuhl is a star athlete and model student at Middle Creek High School, although this is only his second year at the school after transferring from Holly Springs High School. When asked why he transferred he says, “to be with more friends.”

Ryan runs track and plays football for our Mustangs. Most people think being a two-sport athlete is a challenging task, but Ryan says, “it comes pretty easy with two separate seasons.” This is just one example of what makes Ryan Lehmkuhl a model student athlete: always humble, and never putting anyone down even when asked about the amount of work he puts in or to share his challenges.

Ryan claims his athletic ability “came naturally over time, getting taller, stronger and practicing for so long” but “many injuries” have come with his sports performance in the past. Despite injuries, he never gives up. To combat the injuries Ryan puts himself through many injury prevention protocols, including drinking a gallon of milk a day to strengthen bones. “A gallon a day is the way,” Ryan says. He is a big advocate for the importance of drinking milk for health and safety and thinks “all people should drink milk every day.”

Even through all the attention he gets from fans and students at games he said “it motivates him,” and he uses all his support to try and “make an impact on and off the field.” Overall he feels he has “left a big impact on sports and school” and just wants people to “remember who he was” when his time ends at Middle Creek High.
