Mr. Williams graduated from Middle Creek High School as part of its first graduating class in 2005. He holds degrees from Elon University and the University of Alabama. He enjoys fly fishing, hiking, and spending time with his family.

Ricardo Aguina was born on New Year’s day in 2005. He spent most of his young life in Raleigh, NC (where he currently resides),  but has also lived in other places such as Kansas and Oklahoma. When he was younger he loved playing goalkeeper in soccer, and many years later that love is slowly starting to come back. Growing up watching soccer games was one of the things he liked to do, especially ones where Messi played. 

Nick Alvarez is currently a junior at Middle Creek High School. He lives in Holly Springs, NC, with his mom, step dad, and step brother. Since he was little he’s always been interested in helping others and hoped one day to make a career out of it, particularly in the medical field. After he graduates high school, he would like to major in medicine and one day become a doctor. 

Cassie Ashworth is currently a junior at Middle High school. She  lives in Raleigh, North Carolina. She’s always loved to watch other kids and play with them. She hopes to get an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education.

Sophie Catolico, a junior at Middle Creek High School, was born in Long Island, New York, and was raised in Apex, North Carolina. She enjoys doing gymnastics and is a part of the Middle Creek gymnastics team.

Gracie Cirillo is a senior here at Middle Creek High School. She is originally from Boston, Massachusetts, and moved here when she was seven years old. After she graduates from Middle Creek, she plans to either attend a university or go into cosmetology school located in New England or locally.

Maxx Cohen was born in 2005 in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Growing up he has shown a constant love for sports and animals, as he has played basketball for many years and has had two amazing dogs. 

Aaron Conant is a 17 year old student at Middle Creek High School. Conant was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina on April 17th, 2004. He grew up in Alabama but moved many times while he was there, due to his father being in the military. He moved to Enterprise, Mobile, and Birmingham. Growing up he always loved sports and wanted to do something with it. In college he is considering majoring in Physical Therapy. He always values his family and friends. When it is summer he is almost always either at the beach or fishing. He has been fishing since he was a little kid and it has been a love and hobby for him since then. 

Tashad Devaughn is a senior at Middle Creek High School. He plays offensive and defensive line for the Middle Creek football team.  He was born in Laurinburg, NC. He has a brother named Cash and two guinea pigs.

Izabel Fierro, 15, was born in North Carolina where she attends Middle Creek High School. She loves art, music, and animals.

Karli Heffelfinger is a 16-year-old Middle Creek junior who was born in Phoenix, Arizona, and has lived in North Carolina for 5 years. She enjoys painting and listening to music in her free time. Some of her favorite artists include Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Rihanna, J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Drake, and Childish Gambino. Karli likes to write about music, sports, and current events.

Born and raised in beautiful Cary, North Carolina, Brock Herring is a Middle Creek student with a fascination with technology and music. Following his dreams of music and technology, at age 17 he began working at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park as a camera operator. When he’s not busy working on a live broadcast, he loves to play bass guitar and soccer. He thoroughly enjoys writing about everything from video games to music culture. In the future, he hopes to pursue Audio Engineering at Appalachian State University.

Paige Herschman was born in 2006 in Cary, North Carolina. She plays soccer, which helps her when she has to work in teams with her peers. Paige is interested in seeing what’s happening around the community and what her classmates, teachers, and what many other people are interested in.

Szaffi Hock De Leon was born in 2006 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Szaffi loves to travel to different places, especially to different cities. Over the years Szaffi has lived in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and is currently living in North Carolina. If she isn't spending time with her family and friends, she is watching Netflix at home in her bed or is creating all different varieties of food. Szaffi loves the rainy and cold days because those are the days when you can get the best sleep and get the most out of your day. She also loves to snowboard and learn new things. 

Luke Hughes is an 11th-grade student at Middle Creek High School who likes to participate in school activities such as football games and to hang out with friends. He was born on September 22nd, 2004, and has two older brothers who both graduated from Middle Creek. He plans to attend a four-year college after graduating.

Molly Klumpp is a 16 year old who uses she/they pronouns. Originally born in Kazakhstan, she wishes to pursue a career in computer animation with some graphic design. She is a talented artist who specializes in digital and traditional art, as well as 2D and 3D animation. Another hobby of hers is soccer, something she's played for more than 12 years, and her favorite teams are the NC Courage, Manchester City, and USWNT.

Joana P. Coral was born in a small town in the south region of Brazil and grew up abroad in other countries. She has a love for art, music, and reading books that have a deep meaning or message. When she isn’t listening to music, drawing , or reading, you can usually find her spending time with her family. Joana has never published any articles but is excited to start doing so in this class!

Cole Perota was born in Princeton, New Jersey but moved to Raleigh, North Carolina a few years later where he would grow up and pick up his personality and hobbies. Cole has a major passion for skateboarding, working, and spending time with friends and family. It’s also a known fact that Cole is a rap music fanatic and is very picky about it. As a high school student, Cole has shown passion for psychological and literature related subjects and will continue to work o employ somewhere in those fields in the future.

Abby Ruehle is a senior at Middle Creek and an ambitious writer for the school newspaper. She’s mainly interested in topics such as fashion, social issues, and opinion pieces. She’s interested in going to Meredith College for a degree in Mass Media Broadcasting next year. She’s taken Creative Writing 1 and 2, AP Seminar, and AP Lang throughout her years at Middle Creek. When she’s not writing you can find her working as a hostess at Carolina Ale House or hanging out with friends. She’s also an active member in the Women’s Empowerment club, SGA, and Key Club. 

Julietta Elizabeth Perez-Bucio was born April 1st, 2003 in North Carolina. She is the middle child in her family and grew up with a single mom and a sister. Besides taking care of her seven-year-old sister, Julietta works hard to balance school, sports medicine, and work. When she does have time she likes to travel, eat food and go out with her boyfriend, her friend or both. 

Emma Smith is a Senior at Middle Creek High School. She is on the Varsity Women's Basketball team and participates in FCCLA. Emma is the President of the Fashion Club at Middle Creek and also owns a small Jewelry Business on Etsy called The 444 Jewelry Co. After graduating from Middle Creek, Emma hopes to move to New York City to continue her education, studying Fashion Business Management at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). 

James Strohbusch was born in Brookfield, Wisconsin, right outside Milwaukee. Most of James' family was living in Wisconsin with him, giving him an opportunity to be close and make family a big part of his life. James grew up playing sports his whole life and always had an interest in the mind of an athlete. He is most interested in interviewing athletes and writing about sports.

Ymani Stephens is a junior at MCHS. She enjoys reading, writing, and learning about current events. Through all of her academic years, Stephens has been applauded for her excellence in English and writing. Since she was a small child, she’s always been fond of the arts, whether it’s music, literature, or visual art. In her personal life, she enjoys listening to music, cooking, baking, hanging out with friends, lifting, and binge-watching TV shows.

Emily Stockdale is a senior at Middle Creek High School. She’s looking forward to applying for and going to college and being in school for her final year of high school. In her spare time, she enjoys playing soccer for Middle Creek as well as for her girl’s academy club team. Besides soccer, she spends most of her time hanging out with friends and family. She’s excited to see where this class and year will go.

Regan Bernard was born in Austin, Texas, and moved to North Carolina in the fourth grade. He attends Middle Creek High School and is a senior. Regan enjoys hanging with friends, going to the beach, and playing baseball. 

Nathan Castaneda is 14 years old and lives in Fuquay Varina. He is currently a freshman attending Middle Creek High School. Nathan is active in his school's symphonic band, marching band, and newspaper. He enjoys playing the tuba, playing board games with his family, writing, and participating in his church. 

Isaac D’Abruzzo is a 14-year-old currently going to Middle Creek High School. He was born on July 1st, 2007 in  North Carolina. He loves playing video games and has a ton of hobbies, like archery. Because of how he excels in science and loves video games, he is interested in computer science and the medical field. 

Ivy Davis was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, on March 4th, 2007, but was brought to North Carolina a month later after being adopted. Some of her hobbies include reading, watching anime, and skating. She’s now a freshman in high school at Middle Creek. Her goals for the future are to become a firefighter or join the Air Force.

Mar’Jayla was born and raised in Northampton County but grew up in Raleigh, NC. Mar’Jayla loves spending time with her family while working and trying to achieve her goals. Mar’Jayla hopes to pursue a career in psychology in the future. 

Addie Diem, a senior at MCHS, loves to do anything creative, such as pottery, sculpture, and woodworking. She hopes to carry that creativity to college and pursue some sort of degree in graphic design. When away Addie will miss her three rescue dogs, Junie, Willow, and Olive.

Dalton Ferris is a 17-year-old senior at Middle Creek High School. He was born and raised in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has lived in the same house his entire life. After high school Daton plans to attend NC State and study in the Turf Management Program.

William Gorham is currently a senior at Middle Creek and is 17 years old. His interests include playing sports with his friends, working, or just playing video games. After Will graduates he plans to attend a four-year university to study business. Will’s dream school is NC State because he could stay close to home, or he would like to go to South Carolina University.

Same is a pretty average kid. Despite his size he generally keeps to himself. He prefers books and music to sports and takes deeper interest in more obscure information, especially in fiction. He is good at memorizing specific events while claiming to forget many names of the people he meets.

Ashton Jackovich is a 15-year-old sophomore at Middle Creek High School who was born in North Carolina. He likes to watch the NFL and YouTube. He also likes to spend time with his friends and his dogs. 

Aiden Kirby, 14, was born and raised in California. His hobbies are gaming, hanging out with friends, and mountain biking. Aiden exceles in photojournalism class. He has one sister, a brother, and a cousin that he lives with.

Ryan Lehmkuhl, 17, was born in Houston, Texas. Ryan enjoys playing football and hanging out with his friends. He is very active and loves going to the gym in his free time.

Tristan Maldonado is a freshman at Middle Creek High School. He is 14 years old and was born in California. His hobbies include listening to music, watching movies and TV, gaming, reading books and manga, and learning new languages. If he isn’t in school or doing homework, you can find him hanging out with friends and family, listening to music, or playing video games.

Kendall Nietschmann was born and raised in Apex, North Carolina. She is a junior at Middle Creek High School. She has always looked up to her grandma and wanted to be a writer and publish a book just like her. She loves reading and writing and has started writing a few books herself. At the present moment she is working at Crumble Cookie and would love to own a bookshop one day. 

Stephanie Pitcher is a senior here at Middle Creek who enjoys creating memories with fellow students. Pitcher is also a part of the Digital Media Academy due to her interest in digital art. Her main interests are photography and graphic design. Pitcher hopes that in the future she will be able to achieve her goal of becoming a graphic designer.

Lucas is a 14-year-old freshman who enjoys going to school, games, and writing. In his free time he enjoys coding and 3D modeling. He enjoys all types of music and participates in many sports outside of school. Other hobbies include gaming, drawing, and photography.

Chase Sinsky was born on April 11th, 2006, in Jupiter Florida. He spends most of his time graphic designing and video editing. He considers spending time with his family and friends most important to him.

Ellie Turner enjoys listening to music and watching television. She was born in Virginia but moved to North Carolina at the age of six. She is currently a freshman in high school at Middle Creek. Something she hopes to write about is our environment and how to stay eco-friendly in our daily lives, music, and important topics that are going on in our world today.
