Natalie Spence is a 15-year-old freshman here at Middle Creek High School. Natalie was born on January 24, 2007, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Natalie plays for the women’s JV volleyball team at Middle Creek in addition to club volleyball at CHAVC, and she hopes to make the track team this season.
After high school, Natalie would like to attend NC State University and major in business management. Natalie’s favorite class this semester is Healthful Living with Mrs. Ewanich. Natalie says, “It takes my mind off the stress of tougher classes and I get to play sports with my close friends.” When asked why she chose to play volleyball, she said, “I enjoy the speed of the game and the power of spiking the ball.”
Natalie is a big part of many clubs, and she loves volunteering to help the community. She is a part of the Key Club, Big Sisters Club, and Student Government Association (SGA). The two people who inspire her the most are her mom and dad. Natalie says, “My parents teach me how to prioritize my schedule because it is important to have a balanced mindset so I can have a successful future.”
In her free time Natalie enjoys hanging out with friends, listening to her favorite pop artist, Rihanna; walking her dog, Lucy; and watching her favorite show The Vampire Diaries.
Natalie says she can be described by her friends as “very funny, easy to talk to, understanding and will never fail to make you laugh and have a good time.” Overall, Natalie is a very well-rounded person with many attributes which make her the amazing person she is.
