Kieran Murray is a senior at Middle Creek High School who plays on the varsity lacrosse team. Kieran has played sports his whole life, but lacrosse is fairly new for him. “I have been playing lacrosse for a full two years now, but this is my first year on varsity.”
In the past, Kieran has played on the Middle Creek soccer team and was named the captain his sophomore year. Compared to soccer, lacrosse is Kieran’s favorite sport. After his sophomore year, Kieran quit soccer to pursue lacrosse. Since then things have been crazy because Covid-19 hit to end his sophomore season early. Like everybody else, Kieran was very upset, but that wasn’t going to stop him from getting better.
Since the season started, the Middle Creek men’s lacrosse team is off to a hot start. Just yesterday they avenged their early season loss to rival Holly Springs. Middle Creek is not used to losing early in the season, but Kieran and the rest of the team look forward to carrying their momentum into the rest of the season.
Kieran says, “I expect us to do very well and win states.” That seems to be the popular opinion and hopefully, that will come true.
