Señora Karpel has been a Spanish teacher at Middle Creek High School for the last 17 years. She’s a strong, independent, and straightforward person. She studied computer science, psychology, and genetics at NC State and Florida.
Her family escaped to Cuba during the Holocaust and found a Jewish community there. She was born in Cuba and sailed to Florida in 1980.
She’s been married to her husband for 37 years and has 2 sons and 3 grandchildren. “I’m very proud of my children. I’m definitely proud of my son for serving and my younger son that despite his disabilities, he’s really a breath of fresh air,” Karpel said.
Learning English was a large struggle that she has had to overcome. When asked what her favorite part of the job is, she said it was undoubtedly the students. She has a lot of care in her heart and loves every one of her students. If she could fix anything in the world, it would be discrimination.
You should consider taking her classes because she’s a native Spanish speaker and understands the nuances of the Spanish language. She also used to be a translator and knows how to accurately translate things from Spanish to English and vice versa. She is very experienced and you can always trust that what you’re being taught is completely correct.
She’s a very kind person whose class you would love!
