Mr. Prelaske was born in Chicago, Illinois, and grew up in Lake Villa, Illinois. Prelaske graduated from Southern Illinois University. Before coming to Middle Creek High School, Prelaske worked as the general manager of the largest organic distillery in the country. He was also a member of the Peace Corps and taught his first class in 2008 in Mongolia. Before coming to Middle Creek, he taught U.S. History and Science.

Mr. Prelaske does a great job supporting and encouraging his students

Mr. Prelaske started teaching at Middle Creek in 2014 and now teaches World History and AP Research. Prelaske states that his favorite part about Middle Creek is “that it is a real school filled with real people. You can actually be you and are allowed and encouraged to do what you want to do.” He also expresses that his favorite part of teaching is, “It’s exciting, every day is different.” Mr. Prelaske has made a massive impact on the learning environment during school for many students at Middle Creek.

Outside of school, Prealske enjoys hiking and rock climbing. His favorite food is deep dish pizza (of course, he’s from Chicago). Overall, Mr. Prelaske is an amazing teacher with a very interesting life who makes learning enjoyable and fun.
