Holiday Drinks are Back at Starbucks!

Starbucks officially released its 2021 Christmas-themed menu on Thursday, November 4th. They are back with some fan favorites, such as Peppermint Mocha, Toasted White Chocolate Mocha, and Caramel Brulee Latte. This year they’ve added a new holiday drink called the “Iced Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte,” and so far it’s been a big hit. But the real question is, what should you get from Starbucks?

I went to my local Starbucks and tried all four of these holiday drinks, and here are my thoughts:

The newest drink, the Sugar Cookie Almondmilk Latte, doesn’t have much flavor going on. The almond milk gives off a strong nutty flavor which takes away from the sugar cookie flavor. If you decide to try the drink, I recommend getting it with oat milk instead.

In the Toasted White Mocha Latte, there are strong notes of white chocolate and caramel. This drink is perfect if you’re looking for a festive sweet treat and is good hot or cold. It is on the sweeter side, so if you want to try it but you’re not into sweet drinks, you can always ask for fewer pumps of the toasted white mocha syrup.

The Peppermint Mocha is one of my favorites. If you’re into the whole mint-chocolate combo, then this is the perfect holiday drink for you. The only thing about this drink is that as you drink it, the peppermint flavor gets stronger and the chocolate flavor gets weak, but that can easily be fixed if you ask for an extra pump of mocha.

The Caramel Brulee Latte is another one of my favorites out of Starbucks’ holiday drinks. The caramel flavor is very strong and it’s not too sweet despite the caramel syrup. I also tried this drink as a frappuccino and it was just as good, if not better, than the latte.

Starbucks has also added to their holiday treats this year with the new Reindeer Cake Pop, which is a vanilla cake pop with chocolate icing in the shape of a reindeer. They have also brought the Cranberry Bliss Bar back, which is a blondie cake with cranberries and cream cheese icing and has been a big hit at Starbucks.

Even if you aren’t a big Starbucks fan, I recommend stopping by your local Starbucks to get a feel of the holiday spirit. Aside from the holiday drinks, Starbucks has so many options I can guarantee there is something for everyone. But if you are a Starbucks fan, what do you recommend?
