Favorite Off Campus Lunch Spots at Middle Creek High School

With the school year just starting this will be the first time most of the senior class and junior class will have the ability to go off campus for lunch. This means that many of them might not know where to go for lunch. There are so many places around this area where kids can eat, so which one is really the best one? I sat down with several Middle Creek students to find out the best local lunch spots.

I asked one student, Zach Gorham, a senior at Middle Creek, what his favorite spot to go off campus was. He replied, “Burrito Shack, get Shak’d.” I was very surprised to hear that Burrito Shack was his favorite because it is very new and not many people know about it. When asked why he likes Burrito Shack, he said, “I like the burritos they have there and they have a lot of different options to pick from.” According to Gorham, one of the better things about Burrito Shack is it is very close to the school. He also mentioned that Burrito Shack is “very affordable for high school students and for the amount of food that you get, you can’t beat it.” When asked if there was anywhere else that he liked to go he said, “I sometimes go to Mcdonalds.” If you would like to visit Burrito Shack it is located at 2982 Kildaire Farm Rd in Cary.

Jena Wahdan, a senior at Middle Creek, gave me very different answers. Wahdan said, “My favorite spot to go off campus is Brothers Pizza. The cheese pizza is amazing and I love it.” Her usual meal is two slices of cheese pizza and a drink, which costs her about seven or eight dollars. For two slices of pizza and a drink that is pretty good, considering that the pizza slices are very big unlike Dominos or other pizza places. She did mention that Brothers Pizza is “very busy during lunch time,” so that means if you want to go to Brothers for lunch, you need to be quick and not wait around. If you would like to go to Brothers Pizza for lunch or at any time it is located at 3450 Kildaire Farm Rd in Cary.

Personally, my favorite lunch spot has to be Bojangles. From Middle Creek it's a seven-minute drive and there are no stop lights. Price-wise I would say that Bojangles is good, because you can get a 4-piece supreme box for $8. The closest Bojangles to Middle Creek is located at 9919 Fayetteville Rd in Raleigh. As the year goes on I am very interested to see how the favorite lunch spots change.
