Throwback to Summer: Luke Bryan at Walnut Creek

On July 24th, 2021, I went to the Luke Bryan concert at Walnut Creek. There were people out in the parking lot tailgating way before the concert, and as you walked in there were places where people could get drinks and food.

The opening act was Kaylee Hammock. There weren't that many people there yet when she performed, but towards the end of her performance there were more people on the lawn and in the seats. After her performance, Dylan Scott came on stage and the crowd was more excited about him and knew most of the songs that he played.

As it got closer to the time for Luke Bryan to come on, there were people getting food and drinks, and the crowd kept getting bigger and bigger. There was screaming and yelling, and it was easy to feel all the excitement in the crowd. When it was time for Luke Bryan to come out, everyone was finally getting seated.

Around 7:00pm, Luke Bryan came out, singing “That's My Kind of Night.” This song is by far the best song to start the night off with because it just talks about taking the girls out for a good, fun night. After a couple more songs, he then played one of his newest songs called “Waves.” This was one of my favorite songs that he played. This song is about teenagers falling in love during the summer and includes all the images about how beautiful that summer love is and how all the emotions keep coming in waves.

The second-to-last song that he played was “Country Girl Shake It for Me.” This song was for all the country girls out there, and I think it was by far one of the best songs to end the night with. The very last song that he played was “I Don't Want This Night to End.” This song was the best fit for this night because it was such a good night and there was so much excitement.

I would say that this concert was one of the best concerts that I went to this summer. If you haven’t been to a country concert before, I highly recommend going to one.
