NBA Season Preview and Predictions

The NBA season is always highly anticipated by the fans. One of the reasons for that is because there is always a rookie that shows out better than more of the experienced players and superstars. Last season this player was LaMelo Ball, who averaged 15.7 points per game and 6.1 assists with the Hornets. This brings big expectations for him this season to show that he improves during the off-season.

I believe that Jalen Green will win Rookie of the Year. I have been watching videos of this superstar since he was in high school. He can shoot, drive, be a playmaker, and play good defense, all of which he showcased in college. While competition in the NBA is much tougher, Green is poised to do well as a rookie.

This early before the season starts, it is hard to predict who is going to win the Championship, but the Bucks look hard to beat if they are all healthy. This brings high expectations to their leader and Finals MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo. Last season the Brooklyn Nets were highly anticipated to win the Finals with their three superstars: Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving. This team with those three players almost seems impossible to beat, but they were knocked out of the playoffs by the Bucks in a seven-game series.

This season it is hard to tell who is going to win the MVP, but I believe it is either going to be Kevin Durant or Stephen Curry. They both played amazing last season but Nikola Jokíc ended up taking home the trophy. Jokíc averaged 26.4 points per game, 10.8 rebounds per game, and 8.3 assists per game. It’s highly unusual for a center to be an elite playmaker and be able to do the things he does.

Personally, I am excited to see how Russell Westbrook adapts to the Lakers. The Lakers have different superstars than Westbrook is used to. Anthony Davis and LeBron James are two superstars he has never played with, and fans want to see if he can yet again average a triple-double like he did when he was in his prime by setting an NBA record with 42 triple-doubles in the 2016-2017 season.
