Kai Lenny, a professional surfer, is one of the world’s best big wave surfers. Born and raised in Maui, Hawaii, Kai Lenny became obsessed with the sport of surfing at age five. He grew up on a cool island on the Pacific, which really introduced him to surfing. The unthinkable happens when Lenny hops on the board. Kai Lenny is the Aquaman of the ocean. He surfs, fishes, kite surfs, and does any other water sport imaginable. This man lives on the edge, and his surfing career is crazier than you would ever think.
Kai Lenny's big wave surfing is a must-watch. It's deadly, but Lenny does it anyway. Naizare in Portugal is a main spot that he likes to surf. The waves can reach the height of some mid-size buildings depending on the swell. The waves that he surfs are too big to paddle into. He has to get towed into the waves by a jet ski. The jet ski will tow him down the wave before it breaks, and he will then let go of the rope and the jet ski will peel off before the wave breaks. The jet ski will then pick him up after he is done riding the wave and take him back out.

He is the SUP Wave World Champion, the 2013 overall World Champion, and the Vice KSP kitting world champion. 2013 was a big year for Lenny. He really proved himself as a big surfer.
Kai Lenny is down for anything and will do anything. When Jaws (a popular surfing spot in Hawaii) is firing, he will be the first out there and the last back in at night. According to Sima, “He only takes a break to refuel, usually on Taco Bell bean burritos, or to change up his gear.” This proves that Lenny is a very determined surfer and absolutely loves what he's doing.
Kai Lenny remains one of the best watermen to ever do what he does. He has changed the sport of surfing and has brought it to the next level. Currently Kai Lenny is growing on Youtube. He posts all sorts of surfing videos teaching people how to surf. Because of Kai Lenny, many people have taken on the sport of surfing. He has been a great influence to the sport and yet, this sport continues to grow.
